MEET THE TEAM

Dr. Spencer Lindholm

Owner & Founder of Great North Athletics
Sports Chiropractor Specializing in Rehab & Performance

"I’m here to listen, to guide, to reassure, and to hold you accountable as we develop a strategy for achieving peak performance. Together, we’ll build a personalized roadmap to success, and I’ll be right there by your side as your coach, provider, advocate, and accountability partner."

Personal Life

Growing up in Minnesota, I have always embraced the state’s four distinct seasons, engaging in a wide array of outdoor activities such as hockey, pickleball, running, CrossFit, golfing, hiking, hunting, and fishing. Movement, sports, and spending time outside are all big parts of what fills my cup. When not immersed in my professional responsibilities, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, two daughters, and dog.

Professional Background

I am a dedicated chiropractor with 10+ years of experience in sports injury, rehabilitation, and performance training. I also find satisfaction in working with challenging cases and enjoy helping individuals who have struggled to find trusted providers elsewhere.

With a deep commitment to patient care, I’ve cultivated my expertise through years of clinical practice and academic leadership. I spent over three years as a full-time instructor at Palmer College of Chiropractic, teaching biomechanics, physical therapy, and clinical skills. For more than seven years, I’ve also taught continuing education courses, including keynote presentations, seminars, and certifications. As a published author, I’m passionate about advancing chiropractic and rehab through education and contributions to the field.

Approach to Patient Care

I take a patient-centered approach based on co-developing a plan around each patient's unique goals and needs. This requires a thoughtful and purposeful plan centered around helping you better understand what led to your current pain or injury so that you can best reduce the risk of future issues.

Every person has unique movement abilities and requirements in their daily life. I believe that if you have a body, you are an athlete. Movement truly is medicine, which is why I place a strong emphasis on movement and exercise as part of every patient's roadmap to success. This is the key to restoring function and building resiliency against future injury. Whether you're an elite athlete or an active individual eager to return to the activities you love, I can craft a plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. I place a strong emphasis on movement assessment, education, multi-faceted treatment, and helping patients develop self-efficacy for confidence and lasting results. Sports chiropractic and physical rehabilitation are central to my practice because I understand the frustration of being sidelined by pain or injury. My personal mission is to get you back to doing the things you love and to help you develop a sustainable strategy so you can perform at your peak.

“Injuries had a huge impact on my athletic career, which puts me in a unique position when dealing with patients. When they come to see me, I understand exactly where they are coming from because I have been there numerous times."

"Ultimately, my mission is to get you back to doing what you love—and give you the tools to keep doing it for years to come."

Personal Life

I grew up in Northern Ontario, where long winters meant countless hours on the ice and summers were spent on the field. My passion for movement started early and still runs deep—I stay active through pick-up hockey, weight training, and trail running. Outside the clinic, you’ll often find me volunteering at youth sports camps or spending time outdoors. I’m also fully bilingual (English/French) and happy to offer care in either language to help every patient feel comfortable and understood.

Professional Approach

My approach is grounded in the belief that movement is medicine. Whether you’re aiming to hit a new personal best, get through your workouts pain-free, or simply keep up with your kids, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you forward with clarity and purpose.

Each care plan I build is co-developed with the patient—because your goals and context matter. I combine precise chiropractic adjustments with advanced soft-tissue therapy and individualized mobility and strength training. It’s all designed to restore function, improve performance, and build resilience for the long term.

I place a strong emphasis on assessment, education, and collaborative problem-solving. I want you to understand the why behind your care, own the process, and feel confident in your body again—whether you're an elite athlete, a weekend warrior, or someone who's “tried everything” without lasting results. My background in radiology strengthens my ability to identify root causes and build smarter treatment plans. During my chiropractic training at Palmer College, I served as a radiology intern and founded an adjusting-skills club to help fellow students refine their technique and clinical reasoning. That passion for precision and teaching still fuels my practice today. I completed my final clinical preceptorship at Great North Athletics alongside Dr. Spencer Lindholm, where I adopted the Reset-Restore-Reload philosophy—a framework that perfectly aligns with my belief in progressive, goal-oriented care. My continued professional development includes certifications in soft-tissue techniques and ongoing training in acupuncture and dry needling (launching in 2026).
